Toyota Prius, Nissan Leaf amongst top green cars of 2012

Fleet managers searching for the most environmentally friendly green cars may want to consider the opinion of the Kelley Blue Book, one of the world's leading automotive vehicle valuation companies.

In its annual Ten Best Green cars list, the Kelley Blue Book singled out the Toyota Prius C, the Nissan Leaf and the Chevrolet Volt as being some of the most fuel efficient and best value green cars available.

Vehicles were also rated on factors such as features and comfort, with the Volkswagen Passat, the Lexus CT and the Hyundai Elantra being singled out as well.

The Honda Civic, which Honda claims has a fuel economy of 6.7 litres per 100km, also featured on the list. Honda Australia spokesperson Lindsay Smalley attributed the success to impressive fuel efficiency, reliability and value-for-money.

"The Civic is a perfect example of how Honda is realising its vision for an exciting, cleaner future without compromising on the joy of driving," said Mr Smalley (July 13).

Upgrading your fleet to green cars like the ones mentioned here can be a good way of reducing expenses and cutting back on fuel consumption.

Another excellent resource for determining just how efficiently your fleet is operating is fleet management software, which can provide you with in-depth analysis and reports into all your company vehicles.
